People say that your a product of your environment and I come from a musical family so naturally I had a passion for music that burns within me to this day. I started playing drums at the age of  9 when my uncle gave me his old snare drum, the rest is history.

My first band was called "Trigger" circa 1981-1986, This band started out playing our own high school canteens and became so popular that we were invited to play all of the Detroit area public schools Canteens and also played the local bar scene in and around the Detroit Metro area.

My thirst for music didn't stop there...

1988-1993-- I played for "Smash Alley", an all original hard rock group that played the Detroit Metro area Rock circuit which included places such as Blondies, Harpo's, and the Palladium. The band also made local radio air play and produced one album.

2006-2008-- I played for "ShineRunners", a native Louisville, Ky all original band that opened up for such acts as "The Unknown Hinson" at the now defunct "The Dame" in Lexington, Ky as well as "Sunday Valley" and countless others. This band produced two albums.

2008-present-- "The Benjamin Davis Group"
